TCPPA Holiday Party & David Award.

Monday night was the annual TCPPA  (twin cities professional photographers association) Holiday Party. Those of you who are familiar with me know that last year I served as President of the TCPPA, so this year as past-president it was my honor to give the David Award! The David Award is given to an individual who has given their time above and beyond the call of duty.

My mentor and dear friend, Diane Hagler , was this year’s recipient for her years of service to the organization. It was such an honor to give it to her, and she had NO clue! I conspired with her employee, Debby, to help me get her to the party! Below is a photo of me and Diane with her award, and of Debby, me and Diane! What a FUN night we had!!!

Alisha 28 weeks.

Alisha is one of my progressive pregnancy models and recently came in for her 28 week session. She is definitely showing this time around, and isn’t she adorable!!! I can’t wait to see her again at 38 weeks!

The Westing Family!

Meet Sarah and Mike and their dogs! They came into the studio for their family session on the day of our blizzard! I called them to double check they were still coming in, as it was a late evening appointment. They live right in town, so they had no worries getting to the studio! The dogs were so incredibly well-behaved and adorable! I just love the tounge-hanging-out look!! I get a lot of calls from clients wondering if they are allowed to bring their pets in, and then they admit they feel weird bringing their pets in for photos! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that people bring their pets, it adds so much character to their portraits!! Here is a small peek at their session!

Kate’s Business Portraits!

Kate came in this week for some new headshots for her website and other promotional materials! She has blog called Girl Meets Geek that you really should check out! I just love reading her entries! She also does quite a bit of speaking to organizations about job hunting and how to utilize Social Media outlets such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter to job search. In addition, she was recently hired on by the Star Tribune to be a columnist for the job seekers section! I am SO excited for her, that is truly her dream job and I just know she is going to be a great fit for it!!! Here is a sneak peek at her portraits, aren’t they beautiful?!

Book Release Party!!!

I am so excited to announce the arrival of a project that Laura Erdman-Luntz and I have been working on for several months!!! We co-published an Inspirational Planner titled: Ignite Your Life With Muselan: Your Inspirational Year , and it’s finally here!! We are buzzing off the walls we are SO excited to share this with you!

The planner is filled with inspirational worksheet pages that Laura created to help you journal your way towards the life of your dreams! And of course there are pages filled with beautiful images that I took along with inspirational quotes! Laura has also created a website to go along with the planner so that you can have online support throughout your journey! The planner can be started at any time, we are currently selling the January start date, but as January approaches, we will release a February start date and so on and so forth!

Katie & Zach’s Engagement!

These two came in over Thanksgiving break for their engagement session! They were engaged back in September and it was so cute because Katie was so excited to schedule their engagement photo shoot! We had a chilly day (ok, it was COLD), but we made it work! We got some great outdoor shots as well as some beautiful studio ones as well! Here is a sneak peek!

An Engagement Photo Guestbook!!

I photographed Christine and Tyrone’s engagement this fall, and their Vegas wedding in October. They are having a reception in their hometown this winter, and we created a super fun guestbook for them!! It turned out so fantastic I had to share!! CLICK HERE or the photo below to view!!

I had the pleasure of helping out Mike O’Halloran this past weekend with another one of his weddings. (this time he actually wasn’t injured, he just needed a second shooter. It wasn’t quite the same, although I did get to pick on him quite a bit about standing on the top of a ladder again, you would think the guy would learn!)

Chris and Erin were such an amazing couple, so sweet and in love with each other! They had an absolutely perfect day for a November wedding. It was a little chilly out, but the sun was shinning and no one complained about going outside for a few photos! I was only there thru the ceremony, but it was absolutely beautiful! Here is a sneak peek from the images I took! My favorite is the image of Erin and her dad right before they walked down the aisle for the ceremony!!!

Erin’s Pregnancy!

I told you this would be the week of the pregnancy posts! Meet Erin and her adorable two-year-old Brady!! Brady was SOOOooo amazing during the session, I couldn’t believe he was a two-year-old!! (they usually don’t like to cooperate at that age!) The family is new to town and was referred to me by another client!! I had a fabulous time photographing them and getting to know them! Here is a sneak peek, isn’t he a little heart-breaker?!?! LOVE HIM!!!
