I had the privilege and honor of getting to know these two amazing people while I was in Washington DC. They graciously opened up their home to me, a complete stranger, to stay with them for a week while I was out there advocating for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and concussion awareness.

We did a photoshoot in their gorgeous, historic apartment in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, VA. The background full of books fully represents Ed, and adds so much depth and character to the image!

Their dog, Bucky, got along swimmingly with little Miss Pixxie….. even when she stole his doggie bed. I had to include him in a few of the shots, as one never knows how many days they have left with a fur baby.

Liz and Ed are the sweetest couple, and their generosity and kindness was greatly appreciated. I have to say, I believe a friendship was formed, and I look forward to visiting them again next year on my trek out East!
