I had the honor of photographing Tim’s business portraits. Tim is my “website guru” and has set up several sites for me (including the one you’re looking at right now). He has done right by me and I was totally excited to pay him back with great portraits!! He wanted to look more casual and laid back, and I totally get that feeling looking at these images of him!! A few months ago I was approached by Herlife Magazine Twin Cities about doing some photography work for them. Of course I was super excited and said a loud YES!! The magazine is so beautiful, with a glossy cover and high quality pages. My first assignment was to shoot the September cover featuring Christine Fruechte, CEO of Colle + McVoy, a Minneapolis based marketing firm. I had the pleasure of working with a great team of stylists, including: Cheri King, Janet Lundeen, and Katherine O’Connor of Cole’s Salon.
I absolutely LOVE how it all turned out, and have had so much fun working with Editor in Chief Lindsey Lee and Creative Director Ashleigh Thomson. It is a super fantastic magazine that I strongly believe in, and hope that you will all check it out! You can pick it up at many women’s boutiques throughout the Twin Cities, or stop by the studio and pick up your copy 🙂
I can’t wait to share the October Trendsetters fashion spread that I shot last week with you!! It turned out AMAZING!! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE doing magazine work, it is definitely a top passion of mine!! Can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you!!!
I can not tell you enough times how much I LOVE photographing Boudoir Sessions! They are so much fun, and it is completely awesome to watch a woman go from totally nervous to 100% confident and “super model” in the duration of about 5 minutes!! I just absolutely LOVE how the women feel when they leave, and after they view their images up on the big screen!! It makes my job SO very rewarding!!
This session totally ROCKED! Huge props to Sarah Elizabeth, my go-to hair and makeup artist for Boudoir Sessions. I love working with her so very much, she knows exactly what I need from her to make the women camera ready, and she listens to what the client wants. If the client has no idea, she just goes for it and they love it!! I am so very blessed to be surrounded by amazing clients and vendors!!!
Jennifer was one of my Progressive Pregnancy Models for me, coming in at three milestones throughout her Pregnancy! I just love the final product and how you can see the progression of the belly (and not to mention the hair too!! Crazy how fast it grows!)

Little Miss Jocelyn receives the award for “Best Dressed Baby” at each and every session!! Her mommy finds her the cutest outfits with matching headbands and I just love it!! Her 9 month session was certainly no exception!! Her mommy loves the look of a B&W collage at each session of her First Years Plan and this is what we created for this session!! She is such a cutie pie, I just can’t get enough of this little girl 🙂
Dear little Charlie came in for his six months session last week, and had his big sister, Libbey, in two. I have been photographing this family since they were pregnant with Libbey, and it has been so fun to watch them grow!! This is exactly why I love doing what I do, and documenting the memories of family’s and their lives!! Charlie is SO sweet and adorable, I don’t think it’s possible to take a bad photo of him 😉
I have known Shaylene for several years, and she has come in for a few different types of sessions, and I was thrilled when she agreed to be a Progressive Pregnancy model for me!! She was in for her final session last week and is looking absolutely beautiful in her pregnancy glow!! I love love love how her images turned out, and the connection that is shown between her and her husband!! I am so excited for them as they enter parenthood, and I can’t wait to meet the baby!!!
I had the pleasure of photographing sweet little Harper’s newborn session last week!! She was such a sweet little baby!! Newborns are one of my favorite sessions to photograph, they are so tiny and sweet! I love showing the relationship and connection they have with their mommy and daddy thru dramatic B&W imagery. Parents always worry that the baby will cry the entire time, which many do, but that’s ok. I only need a few seconds of clarity from the baby to get some really beautiful images, like these!!
Last week I had a fun shoot with a client who wanted to wear her Renaissance Festival costume. I have never had a shoot like this before so it was super fun!! I loved her dress, and it was quite enlightening to see how many pieces there are to it and how long it took her to get into it!! She brought her husband’s sword with as well to add to the costume. I told them they should come back in with both of them in costume for another shoot!! Such fun 🙂
