A Reflection Of A Year In This So Called

As I sit here on New Year’s Eve, I reflect on all that has happened in 2011. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Twenty-eleven was truly a year of changes and challenges for me. Some of them were amazing, while others were a little ugly and painful. Regardless, the year is almost at It’s final hour, time to look forward to an amazing 2012.

What I find most interesting about   our lives is that we are in a constant state of ebb and flow….. we are like a fluid movement, constantly changing and evolving. We can dwell on the pains of our past or we can learn from them and move forward, filled with more knowledge to make us smarter and stronger. It fascinates me how something beautiful can come from something ugly and painful. It proves to me that the universe is working with us to give us what we want and deserve in our lives.

I am thankful for every single thing that happened in my life this past year, whether it was happy or sad. I have watched friendships fade dim, other   friendships completely lost, and yet still, new friendships develop. I have watched my business challenge me in many ways, both good and bad. I have struggled finding my voice only to listen to it speak up loudly and wisely. I have overcome many obstacles this year and have come out of it with my head held high and knowing that I have done well. I will never let anyone tell me otherwise.   I refuse to conform with anything but awesome-ness!

I am thankful for each and every client I worked with this year, even the ones who have challenged me, as it taught me to be a better photographer and business owner as a result. I am thankful for every single friend that I interacted with, even if I may never see them again. Some friendships pushed me to see the deeper me, while others let me cry on their shoulder.   Others yet helped me unlock the powerful voice that has been hiding inside me. I am thankful to be living in my beautiful home with my snuggly cats, even if living alone has been a hard adjustment. I am thankful for my family who has supported me through everything this past year (as well as my entire life). While they may not understand me and who I am, and don’t understand my way of living, they love me and support me unconditionally. I am thankful for love lost and love found. I am thankful for my health. I am truly fortunate.

As I look around my life, I am amazed at how wonderful it really truly is. I am a photographer doing what I love, what I am most passionate about. I am helping teach and inspire other photographers. I make a good living doing what I love. I have an amazing support system, which includesYOU if you are reading this! I am grateful for the end of the year to finally be here, and starting over fresh in 2012! I hope that you continue to be a part of my year and life, I am truly blessed ……. Peace and Glitter to you all!!!
